Tony, general manager of The Coolroom Man, has found a way to leap forward in the industry proving not only customers but to other businesses that he provides professional service by working together with builders and shop fitters.
By no means is Tony a one man show, as the business name suggests. He is backed by a team of professionals helping him with on-site installations and manufacturing. Previously a concreter by trade, Tony knows that finding the time to tackle jobs with the precision needed can be a struggle. ‘I know it can be hard for builders to make time for on-site inspections and measuring. By working together, we can halve the time it takes.’
Tony emphasises that communication and trust is also important. ‘It’s more than just selling a cool room and installing it. It’s about communicating to provide the right solution for your customer and helping them every step along the way.’ Tony explains. ‘I can use my expertise in the in cool & freezer rooms to help each builder and shop fitter develop a tailored solution to any query.’
Tony’s business is located on McIntyre Rd, alongside Commercial Food Machinery; a well-established equipment supplier to the food service industry, and Complete Stainless Steel Fabrication situated not far behind. Instead of facing the market head on, Tony has taken advantage of his situation and worked closely with his neighbours to develop a well-oiled system.
Tony can provide cool & freezer rooms both kit and custom to clients setting up restaurants, while Complete Stainless Steel offer custom stainless steel fit outs to kitchens and cool rooms.
Tony is looking at developing similar relationships with other businesses in the future. ‘The market is getting tougher. Key businesses need to work together to develop a greater and more efficient solution for the ones who keep us going – the customers.’
